Kay Fields is a licensed acupuncturist and Master of Oriental Medicine with a degree from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley. She has a private practice in Northwest Portland.
Kay is licensed in both Oregon and Washington by the Board of Medical Examiners and maintains national diplomate status with the accrediting organization NCCAOM.
Kay's business mission statement is to empower patients by promoting balance through awareness. She helps them to understand their own inner workings and how emotions, stress, and what we eat can produce balance or imbalance. Kay pinpoints the essence of where each is experiencing an imbalance, and elicits a healing response with various techniques that support their process in regaining wholeness and balance.
Kay is very active in the Portland Metro community. Among organizations she supports are the local schools plus hospital programs and cancer clinics. She serves pro bono on various teams providing healing services to members of the local community.
Kay stays quite physically active. She loves nature and walks her dogs daily in a beautiful forest.
Kay practices what she teaches. She is a member of two food cooperatives and is committed to keeping a sustainable house and office for her kids, two dogs and three cats! She prefers to buy and eat locally, she recycles, supports local permaculture, and makes decisions that will positively impact her environment. She is living a lifestyle that supports her own balance with healthy choices.
